On Thursday December 8, 2022, Seliece Gray, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at age 83.

Seliece was born on August 26, 1939, in Robstown, TX to Les and Hilda (Gatzki) Cartwright. She received her degree from Texas Tech University in 1960. On December 8, 1962, she married Jack Gray. They raised two children, Jennifer Whitlock (Larry) and Brian (Nelly).

Seliece had a passion for Christ and everything creative. She also loved to play bridge, shop and travel. She traveled and shopped the world accompanying Jack on their many duty stations around the world as an Air Force spouse. After retiring to Ruidoso New Mexico, she followed her passion for creativity and became an interior decorator for many years. Seliece was also heavily involved with Shepard of the Hills Lutheran church – the Monday Volunteer! She was known for her loving heart, infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Seliece was preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer, father, Les, and her mother, Hilda. She is survived by her husband Jack, son Brian, grandchildren Greco and Gracie Gray, brother Chris Cartwright, sisters D’les Longino, Candice Kaye, Kelley Hendricks and several cousins, nieces, and a nephews. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 15th, 2022 at the Shepard of the Hills Lutheran Church in Ruidoso New Mexico at 1130 o’clock a.m.
