She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and younger brother Michael Logsdon. She had two surviving sisters, Mona Hochstein, Debra Compton, and numerous nieces and nephews. She spent her final days with her loving husband of 41 years, Donald Hughes Smith II by her side. She was a dedicated and loving mother to Tyla Janne and Dylan Logsdon. She considered her four grandchildren, Remy Dawn, Izacc Miekel Hughes, Aryah LuRae, and Addie LeAndra her biggest blessings.

Sandra graduated from ENMU with a Master's in Education. She dedicated herself to teaching, mentorship, and friendship to countless members of the community. Sandra was a faithful, loyal and loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. Her love for reading and God kept her busy in her retirement. She loved the simple things in life; outdoor adventures, curling up with a good book, watching Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, or Star Trek. She enjoyed spending time with her prized grandchildren and played an active role in their everyday life.

Although her passing to be with her Lord and Savior was an unexpected tragedy to those who loved her, it would be her wish that her family and friends, remember in celebration the moments spent with her and continue to love one another to keep her memory alive.
