Norma Espinoza Davila Olivarrias

Norma Leticia Davila-Olivarrias Espinoza was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer on December 5, 2019. Throughout the years to follow, she discovered that her breast cancer had spread to her bones, her liver, and her brain. Lety had fought a long and difficult battle but after several long days and nights, our beautiful Lety joined our Lord the morning of March 23, 2022. Lety was born in Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Aurelia Olivarrias and Antonio Davila. At the age of 9, Lety and her family had moved from Juárez, Chihuahua to Ruidoso, New Mexico. Lety grew up around her loving siblings Jose Davila, Evangelina Davila, Leticia Davila, a sister whom she lost, and Luis Davila. After graduating from Ruidoso High School, Leticia attended Eastern New Mexico University where she had obtained her Associates degree in General Studies (2004). During school, Leticia fell in love and married Sotero Espinoza. Lety and Sotero had three daughters, Carolina Leticia Espinoza, Mercedes Inez Espinoza, and Aurelia Zaray Espinoza. Lety is survived by her mother, three siblings, three children, three stepchildren, 6 nieces and nephews, 11 grandchildren, and various aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lety was an individual who was always devoted to her family. Her family often described her as someone who was luminous, silly, selfless, understanding, loyal, strong, comprehensive, a matriarch, unique, brave, nurturing, brilliant, fierce, independent, and beautiful. However, there is not one word to describe who Lety was, she was truly indescribable. On March 30, 2022, we will be celebrating the life of Norma Leticia Davila- Olivarrias Espinoza. We invite those who knew Lety to join and celebrate. Services will be held at Saint Eleanor Catholic Church; 140 Junction Rd, Ruidoso NM 88345. The Rosary for Lety will begin at 9:30 am followed by mass at 10:00 am. Following the burial of Lety at Ruidoso Hondo Valley Memorial Park; 26760 US-70, Ruidoso Downs NM 88346, there will be a reception at 1:30 pm located at La Sierra; 100 Lake Shore Dr., Alto, NM 88312.
