Lamb Jameson

Lamb "Dowd" Jameson passed away peacefully at his home in Ruidoso, NM on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the age of 97.  Dowd was preceded in death by his wife, Billy Jean; his parents, John S. Jameson and Naomi Dowd Jameson; his siblings, William Jameson and Mary Nell Jameson.

Mr. Jameson was born in Bowie, Texas on November 11, 1922.  He was a proud veteran of World War II and was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland in 1944.

He lived a long and happy life and had many exciting adventures flying his own Cessna airplane to different parts of the world, including Spain, Venezuela, Africa, and Alaska.  He was an athlete who loved hiking the trails around Ruidoso and sking at Ski Apache.

He was buried at Ft. Stanton State Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, July 23, 2020.
