Kent Eaker

August 17, 1959 — December 14, 2021

Alamogordo, NM

Kent Eugene Eaker was born on August 17, 1959, in Roswell, NM to Betty McHenry and Norman Eaker. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 14, 2021.

Kent was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. Kent loved his wife fiercely and with all of his heart, they were happily married for 43 years. They have six children, John Hopper, Cheryl Grant, William Holladay and partner Amanda West, Thomas Holladay and wife Elizabeth Holladay, Kathy Eaker and husband Chris Danler, and Kent Eaker II. Kent has two sisters Shelly Gonzales and husband Matt, Tina Shields. and brother Danny Eaker.

Kent lived his life to the fullest, fully trusting in the Lord to carry him home to heaven. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, grilling, and spending time with his family. He had a large brood of 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. They all loved and adored him!

He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He loved and cherished his family and the time he spent with them. His favorite thing to tell anyone was that the best time of his life was raising his children and his reward was all his beautiful grandchildren.

He was a firm believer in the Lord and he is now residing in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is no longer suffering or in pain and he is reunited with his loved ones already in heaven. He was proceeded in death by his mother Betty, father Norman, brother Danny, son Kent and niece Theresa, and two great granddaughters.

He will be loved always and missed forever.

Our family would like to express our gratitude to his work family from the 19th Hole.

Special thanks to Yvonne Boyle for her love and support.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award me on that day-and not only to me but to all who crave His appearing."

2 Timothy 4: 7-8
