Kenan Zuazua

July 10, 1979 — March 7, 2020

Mescalero

Our beloved Kenan Charles John Zuazua was born on July 10, 1979 in Mescalero, New Mexico to Florine Smith and the late Gilbert Zuazua. Kenan passed away and went on to be with the Lord on March 7, 2020.

Kenan is survived by his mother, Florine Smith; his sisters, Kristi LaPaz, Kathryn Rocha, Sharon Chino and Annette Smith; his brother, Darron Valdez, Sr. and his beautiful children, Kenan G. Zuazua, Kaleena Zuazua, Kolin Zuazua, Karyssa Zuazua and Kobe Zuazua. Kenan is preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Zuazua, a brother, Wyvern Zuazua, his maternal grandparents, Charles Smith and Adi Tissnolthtos, and his paternal grandparents, John Zuazua and Delphine Yahnahki.

Kenan attended school in Ruidoso Schools, Dulce Schools and achieved his high school diploma from the Mescalero Apache High School in 1998. After finishing high school he attended College for a short time and then started working. Kenan worked many jobs in his hometown of Mescalero which include being a Firefighter, a Sawyer and most recently a Maintenance Mechanic.

Kenan was a father of five children whom he loved dearly, he was always so proud of them in the many sports and achievements they endured. Kenan was a very talented artist he loved to draw and he was an incredible painter who had skills like no other. Our precious Kenan will be greatly missed, but we will keep him in our hearts, and we will cherish all the memories we were able share with him.

We his family and friends will always remember Kenan’s handsome face and his smile, but most of all we will miss hearing his voice, his laughs and all his hilarious jokes. We know the road ahead is going to be overwhelmingly painful and lonely, but we know he is in The Lords Kingdom “Heaven” and is happier than ever. We Love You Kenan!
