Karen Wall

May 5, 1943 — July 6, 2021

Nogal, NM

It is with the heaviest hearts and greatest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Karen Michele (née Barna) Wall, on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at her home in Nogal, New Mexico. She was 78 years old.

She was born on May 5, 1943 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Laval Theodore Barna and Frances Miriam Weeks.  She had two older siblings who preceded her in death, sister, Beverly (née Barna) Cupertino-Sieghold and brother, Kerry Barna.

She moved with her family from Augusta, Michigan to Gaastra, Michigan in 1948 when she was 5 years old.  She attended Stambaugh High School and met her husband, James Wall, when they worked together after school at Pasquale’s IGA Supermarket.  She graduated the valedictorian of her senior class, with high honors, from high school in June 1961.

She and James were married on April 4, 1964 in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Stambaugh, Michigan.  Her sister, Beverly was her Maid of Honor. In 2021, they had celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary.

She and James had three children, Christopher (Tonya) of Bolivar, TN, Timothy of Menomonee Falls, WI, and Tracy of Dover, DE.  She had 5 grandchildren: Justin, Brandon, Gregory, Lauren, and Alyssa.

She is also survived by a loving extended family.

Karen worked at Montgomery Wards in West Bend, WI where she earned recognition for top sales of the year as store manager. She also worked at Serigraph in West Bend, WI where she received a Certificate of Achievement.

Karen was a dedicated Christian who was actively involved in her church for many years and lived a faith-filled life.

She will always be in our hearts, and our memories of her will be forever cherished.
