Homer Ray Clark, 89, passed away at home on January 6, 2020. Homer was born in Burbank Oklahoma on May 16, 1930 to Charley (Williams) and Richard E. Clark. Homer is survived by his daughter Clarissa “Kitty” Solomon of the home, son Ray Clark of Mountainair, NM and daughter Cassie and husband William Caster of Mountainair, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and 3 great- great-grandchildren,  brother Jim Clark and wife Penny of Perryton Texas, sister Paula Hatchett and husband John of Hominy, Oklahoma, numerous nieces and nephews. Homer was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lessie (Fisher) Clark, five brothers and one sister.

Homer moved from Oklahoma to Artesia in 1953 where he served on the Artesia Police Dept. until 1967. He then opened an auto mechanics shop and wrecker service until his retirement in 1994 at which time he moved to the Alto, NM area, and continued working on antique cars in his spare time.
