Dorothy Borchardt

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Dorothy Nell Borchardt, our beloved and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and friend to all those lives she touched in her 92 years of life. On May 6, 2022 she left us surrounded by her family. Dorothy had just celebrated her 92nd birthday on April 30, 2022.

Born in Celeste, Texas in 1930, she was the youngest of 13 children- born to her parents Reno Alos White and his wife, Myrtle Maggie Smalley.  She resided in Celeste, Texas until she married the love of her life, Charlie Glenn Borchardt.  They lived in Garland, TX and had two children Tony and Lisa.  They moved to Ruidoso, New Mexico in 1981.

Dorothy was the proud Grandmother of Ashley and Jeremy Brillante and Chase and Jordan Borchardt and three Great-Grand Children.

She was preceded in death by her son Tony Glen Borchardt and husband, Charlie Glenn Borchardt.

Dorothy lived a wonderful and fulfilled life and a friend to so many. She had a strong faith in GOD and enjoyed attending church where she made many lifetime friendships.  Most of all, she loved her family and friends. She inspired and instilled good values in her family that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Ruidoso Downs on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. (26363 US-70, Ruidoso Downs, NM 88346), burial will follow at the Ruidoso Hondo Valley Memorial Park. All family and friends are welcome to join, as we celebrate her life.
