Ann Lois (Thomas) Griffith Hale, 93, of Ruidoso, NM passed away February 13, 2022.  Ann was born October 25, 1928, in Lamesa, Tx to Lillard and Myrtle (Niblett) Thomas.

Ann was raised and worked on the family cotton farm near Lamesa.  She moved to Morton, Tx in 1948 where she worked at the hospital and worked as the secretary to the County Agent.  She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Morton and was also very active in women’s groups.

Having been around farming and cotton fields her whole life, Ann relocated to the tall cool pines of Ruidoso in 1975.  She was a social butterfly, active in many local organizations and committees promoting Ruidoso.  She was the secretary of the First Baptist Church and was on the building committee of the new church.

Ann married HP Hale of Ruidoso in Alamogordo, NM on January 31, 2014. They were a match made in heaven and the love they shared was obvious to all that knew them.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, LD Thomas and Darrell Thomas, sister, Eulus Damron, son, L Karl Griffith.

Ann is survived by her husband, HP Hale, sister, Jonell Newton of Lamesa, children Sherrill TJ Griffith of Westcliffe, CO, Rayla Walker of Ruidoso NM, Rita Barnett and husband Rob of Mesa, AZ, Charlie Hale and wife Sandy of Plano, Tx and grandkids, Scott Griffith, Dax Griffith, Gabrina Daniels, Alana Soliz, Vince Griffith, Justin Griffith, Jason Griffith, Charlie Hale III, Collean Pinlold, Katie Jordan, Adam Barnett and Amy Barnes and 24 great-grandkids.

Ann was laid to rest on her beloved mountain at Gavilan Memorial Garden Cemetery.
