Yvonne Austin

Yvonne Austin was the only daughter of Frances and Paul Darling. She was born in El Paso, Texas on February20, 1937, there she attended Laredo Academy and graduated from Austin High School. In 1963 she met and married Steve Austin.

In El Paso they owned a HVAC company. In 1979 they moved to Ruidoso New Mexico to raise their family. She lived in many places with her husband but permanently moved back to Ruidoso in 1995. Many people might remember her working at Walmart in the fabric department. Yvonne was a very social vivacious person. She loved people and throughout her life had many friends. The legacy she left behind was of love and laughter. Yvonne was called home by our Lord on October 27, 2017.

She is survived by two daughters; Stephanie Austin Kobaly and Frances Bates of Ruidoso. She leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Stephen D. Bates, Samantha Temple, Kym Bates, Brandon Kobaly and Brett Kobaly. Two great granddaughters, Brooklyn and Abigail.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held in December.
