Ed "Coach Pop" Davis, 72 of Capitan passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 in Capitan. He was born December 22, 1942 at Corinth, Mississippi. He moved to Capitan in 1990 from Sherman, Texas and was a coach and educator with the Capitan Schools. He married Juanell Reeves, "Coach Mom" on November 10, 1962 at Sayre, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on May 16, 2003. He was also preceded in death by a son, Marty Davis on June 5, 2001.
He is survived by a son, Shawn Davis of Oklahoma City, OK; a daughter, Sue-Sue Davis of Capitan; four grandchildren, Skyler Davis, Matthew Davis, Michael Davis and Jessica Davis; 2 great grandchildren, Randy Davis and Samantha Davis; a brother, Gary Davis of Blanchard, OK.
His funeral service will be Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Traylor Gym at the Capitan Schools.
