William Magoosh Iii

William Magoosh,III passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019, in Mescalero with his family by his side. He was born on September 24, 1957 to William Magoosh, Jr and Betty Botella-Magoosh, who both preceded him in death.

He is the great, great grandson of Chief Magoosh. William has gone into eternal peace to be with his parents, his brothers Gerald Magoosh Sr., Ellery Magoosh; his sisters, Marybelle Chino and infant Mary Magoosh. William is survived by his sisters Elaine L. Valdez and Ceda A. Shanta and numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

William graduated from Tularosa High School, class of 1956 in Tularosa, NM. He also attended University of Texas at El Paso in Political Science.
William was a knowledgeable man who worked for Mescalero Apache Tribe, the old Inn of the Mountain Gods and also worked for the United States Merchant Marine and various occupation throughout his life.

Visitation will be Monday, May 13, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at LaGrone Funeral Home with procession to St. Joseph Apache Mission in Mescalero, NM for Rosary services at 6:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Joseph Apache Mission with burial at Mescalero Cemetery, Mescalero, NM.
