William Biddle

A memorial service for William A. Bill Biddle, 84, of Ruidoso Downs will be Friday, Jan. 11, at 1:30 P.M. in the Community United Methodist Church in Ruidoso. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruidoso. Mr. Biddle was born August 31, 1923 in El Paso, Texas to Robert and Bertha Biddle, he passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, in El Paso. Bill graduated from Alta Vista School in 1937and Austin High School in El Paso in 1941. He served in World War II and saw service in the 9th Air Force in Europe and was discharged November 1945. After two years of U.T.E.P. and other empolyment he found his place with the Fire Department in El Paso for 27 years retiring as Captain. He moved to Ruidoso in 1986 from El Paso. He married Jane on October 29, 1974 in Ruidoso. He is survived by his wife, Jane Biddle; step children, Craig Whipple and family, Kenny Whipple and family, Larry Whipple and family and Nancy L. Stanley and family and four God children. He was preceded in death by his brohter, Bob Biddle. The family has requested memorials to Community United Methodist Church or Ruidoso Downs Senior Citizen Center.
