Wilburn Goines

Funeral service for Wilburn Douglas (Dick) Goines 78, of Ruidoso N.M. is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 29, 2017, First Southern Baptist Church in Ruidoso Downs with Bro. Randy Widener officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Goines passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 in Ruidoso N.M. Dick was born October 9, 1938 in Malakoff TX. He graduated from Kerens High School in Kerens TX. Joined the Navy in 1957. He worked for Texaco for 34 years and retired in 1999.

He was preceded in death by his parents L.E. Goines & Alice Faye Goines.

He is survived by his wife, Bennie Goines of Ruidoso N.M.; sister, Betty Hawkins of Athens TX.; daughter, GiGi Hankins of Andrews TX. and son, Tyner Goines of Denham Springs LA. & seven grandchildren.

I would like to thank Hospice (Encompass) of Ruidoso N.M. for all their compassion & caring of our loved one. Also would like to thank Goodlife Assistant Living & the Administrator Lori Wetzel, and the employees for letting us become a part of their family. And special thanks to Melissa Hutchins for being my special angel from day one & First Southern Baptist Church of Ruidoso Downs family for loving, caring & prayers.

Pallbearers will be Michael Widener, Michael Snowden, Sean Chapman, Dennis White, Wayne McMakin, David Hutchin, Joe Sanchez and Bryan Waterfield.
