Walter Williams Jr.

Walter Cecil Dub Wiliams, Jr. was bom in Bogalusa, LA, November 16, 1927. He passed away peacefully, October 27,2014, to be with his LORD and SAVIOR. Dub was preceeded in death by his father, Walter Cecil Williams and his mother, Dorothy Borde Williams.

Dub is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kathryn Hale Williams, his two brothers, Charles Sherwin Williams and Ernest Ray Williams, his two sons, Neale Henry Williams and Borde Hale Williams, two daughtersinlaw, Karen Parsons Williams and Lisa Coffey Williams. Four grandchildren, Shirryn Williams Padilla husband, Brian, Rachael Williams, Haley Williams Morin husband, Marcus, and Ryan Harrison Williams. Four great grandchildren, Noah, Madasyn, Colby Canon.

After graduating from high school, Dub enlisted in the Navy for two years. Then he obtained his Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in Science, from New Mexico State University. Dub was a people person, he showed this by being a school teacher and coach for 29 years in the Ruidoso Public Schools. He also was a State Representative of district 56 for 14 years. Dub loved his family and had some great lifelong friends that he and Kathryn enjoyed very much. The family would also like to thank his very best friend, Howard Tate, who would come by on Thursday and take Dub for a ride and get a cup of coffee.

A family service was held on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014 at St. Eleanors Catholic Church with burial at the Hale Cemetery.
