Graveside services for Tony S. Parker, 90, of Ruidoso will be Friday, July 13, at 10:00 AM in the Ruidoso Hondo Valley Cemetery with the Rev. Todd Seelau officiating. Mr. Parker passed away Sunday, July 8, in Ruidoso. He was born November 2, 1916 in Springs, Oklahoma. He served in the Navy during World War II, attended New Mexico State University when it was called New Mexico A M, while attending there he played football, basketball and baseball and was a member of the Booster Club. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, former member of the Lions Club in Las Cruces and a member of Cree Meadows Country Club and a lover of golf. He moved to Lincoln County in 1973 from Las Cruces and was an active Real Estate Broker. He married Craig Smith on February 19, 1940 in Las Cruces and she preceded him in death ion June 29, 2000. Survivors include two daughters, Amyna Parker Hughes and her husband Loris W. of Albuquerque and Michelle Parker Payne and her husband Vic of El Paso; two brothers, Clyde Parker of Phoenix, AZ and Leon Parker of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Joyce Alexander of Dallas, TX; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and companion, Lee Coats. The family has requested memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
