Tony Moreno

Tony Moreno, 82 of Ruidoso Downs was born May 10, 1939, in Fort Stockton, Texas and he passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at his home in Ruidoso Downs, NM.

He was preceded in death by his parents Juan and Camilla Moreno, his niece Danielle Brady. He is survived by his wife Valerie Fath; two daughters; Terri Harbison and Tina Sink; four grandchildren and one great granchild; seven siblings; Cheto Moreno & wife Sandy, Dr Johnny Moreno & wife Rennie, Oscar Moreno & wife Minga, Pat DeAnda & husband Jim, Viola Winn, Lupe Pressey & husband Randy, Hilda Moreno and numerous nephews and nieces.

Tony impacted many lives. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. You could always count on him to be there, whether it was praying with people or repairing their cars. He was a gifted mechanic, an amazing artist and a committed missionary. He was an encouraging bible class teacher, a caring mentor and a great encourager of us all.

However, if you spent any time with Tony at all then you knew that his identity was in Christ, his guide every day was the Holy Spirit, and his heart loved the almighty God in heaven.

He will be missed by his family, and his brothers and sisters in Christ, but he is finally where he has longed to be for a long time, in the presence of his Savior.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the community for all their compassionate support.

A memorial service for Tony will be held at Gateway Church of Christ on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made “in memory of Tony Moreno” to Ruidoso Hospice Foundation.
