Tommy Reynolds, 75, of Ruidoso, passed away on October 3rd, 2025, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Tommy was born September 1st, 1950, in Ruidoso to George and Lucy Reynolds.
Tommy had a gift for making everyone feel like they were his favorite, and in truth, they probably were. An outdoorsman and adventurer at heart, he found peace and joy in nature, whether he was hunting, fishing or camping under the stars. He was the biggest cheerleader for his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, celebrating every win, big or small, as if it were his own. He never met a stranger and had a nickname for everyone, each one given with pure love and a little Tommy flair. He was a master storyteller who believed a good story was always worth a little ‘extra color’. His infectious smile, laughter and positivity were contagious and he carried a fearless, spirit that lifted everyone around him. He was proud of the people he loved and happiest when surrounded by his family, content to enjoy life’s simple pleasures and the company of those who mattered most. His greatest accomplishment and joy was sharing every moment with and next to the love of his life, his wife, Kaye. He was a man of many charms and names, including, Pop, Cha-Cha, Uncle Tom, Amigo and Compa. He reminded everyone daily he was “livin’ the dream” and by his own account, he truly was.
Tommy is survived by his wife Kaye Reynolds, Ronald (Tami) Reynolds, daughter Tawnya Reynolds, Cheyenne (Joey) Jarvis, his cherished grandchildren Lauren, Lane, Ariel and Erika. Survived siblings: Jerry Dick, Clyde, Becky Reynolds and Margie Bouldin. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Lucy Reynolds and his brothers Virgil and Frankie Reynolds.
A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held Saturday, November 15th. Time and location TBA. All friends and family are invited to attend.
He lived boldly and loved deeply. He continues to shine through the lives of everyone lucky enough to know him. Though he has gone home, his spirit remains a constant reminder to live fully, love freely and fear nothing.
