Stephanie Bowden

Stephanie Bowden, devoted Mother and Beautiful Soul was born August 31st, 1974, in Ruidoso, New Mexico to Stanley and Kathleen Wheeler, passed on January 14th, 2022, due to complications with COVID-19. Stephanie attended Capitan Municipal Schools and Eastern New Mexico University-Ruidoso before becoming an accountant.

Stephanie was a wonderful and selfless person who’s every wish was to do good by those she loved, all the while working towards her personal goals unwaveringly. Though she acted as the main supporter of the family, she still devoted her time to her personal success and the success of her family. Many considered her a blessing in their lives and adored her kind heart. No sacrifice she ever made went unappreciated by someone. She also loved sharing her love of food, movies, and games with family and any who came to visit. Few matched her as a hostess for events with her mixture of planning and warm welcome.

Stephanie is survived by daughter Lilith Bowden, son Jonah Bowden, foster son and nephew Juan Chavez, foster son and nephew Leo Chavez, a grandchild, sister Jennifer Gallegos, Father Stanley Wheeler, and her ex-husband Leonard “Tug” Bowden.
