Sara Misquez

Visitation for Sara Misquez, 62, of Mescalero will be Monday, Jan. 14, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM. The prayer service will be Monday, Jan. 14, at 6:00 PM in the Mescalero School Gym at 6:00 PM where the funeral mass will be on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at the Mescalero Cemetery. Mrs. Misquez passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, near Tularosa. She was born September 6, 1945 at Mescalero and was raised at the Three Rivers area. She began working for the Mescalero Apache Reservation in 1964, served as the Executive Director for Wendell Chino and she served as President from 1998 until 2004. She was a member of St. Joseph's Mission. She married Gilbert Misquez on June 6, 1967 at Las Cruces. She is survived by her husband Gilbert; her children, Delvin Misquez Shanta, Albert Misquez and Carrie Misquez; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Gilbert Misquez in 1994.
