Santiago Valdez

Rosary service for Santiago Yasto Valdez, 88, of Tularosa will be Tuesday, January 17, at 9:15 AM in St. Josephs Mission at Mescalero with the funeral mass to follow at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Santa Nino Cemetery at Three Rivers.

Mr. Valdez passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in Ruidoso. He was born October 15, 1923 in Three Rivers to Beatrice and Pablo Valdez who preceded him in death. He had lived in the Three Rivers area all of his life where he was a horse rancher.

He is survived by 11 children, Melba Saenz, Lyle Valdez, Jordan Valdez, James Valdez, Rose Valdez, Violet Valdez, Jamie Valdez, Cecelia Valdez, Paul J. Valdez, Warren Valdez and Edith Walker and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul A. Valdez and numerous brothers and sisters.
