Sadie Massey

Cathleen Massey, 96, of Capitan passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014 in Roswell, New Mexico. She was born June 23, 1918 in Casper, Wyoming.

She moved to Lincoln County in 1952 from Portales, New Mexico. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Capitan. She married Dorris Massey on December 31, 1938 in Portales and he preceded her in death in 1973.

She is survived by two daughters, Jerralynne Story of Capitan and Colleen Salazar of Lincoln sister, Lorraine Branch of Popps Ferry, Mississippi 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 2, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. The prayer service will be Wednesday, September 3, at 10:30 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Capitan with the funeral mass to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruidoso.
