Russell was born October 17th, 1942 to Russell Harrison and Opal Maples in St Helena, Oregon. Russell graduated from Lovington High to the University of the Southwest and finishing his education at Eastern New Mexico University. He had spent 4 years with the Navy on the USS Hunley At Charleston, South Carolina during the Vietnam War Era. He was honorably discharged and received the National Defense Service Medal. On October 16th, 1999 Russell married Raquel Montoya. Russell leaves behind his wife Raquel, his son Stephen (and Heather), James (and Family), Juan, and Shaun (Faith and family). He spent his final days working on project around the family ranch and working in the Post Office in San Patricio. There truly was nothing Russell couldn’t do if he set his mind to it. Russell was loved and cared for by many. His talents were as endless as his gossip from the Post Office.
