Ruben Zamora Sr.

Ruben Zamora Sr., 76, of Carrizozo passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 in Carrizozo. He was born on October 23, 1941 at Raventon, NM and had lived in Lincoln County all of his life.

He had worked for the State of New Mexico Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator. He was a hard worker and could fix anything. He attended Santa Rita Catholic Church, he married Carol Vega in October, 1967 at Carrizozo.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; seven children, Ann Beltran and her husband Chuck, Cindy Verdugo and her husband, George, Matthew Zamora and his wife, Melissa, Ruben Zamora Jr. and his wife, Rachel, Michael Zamora, Sam Zamora and his wife, Thelma and Amy Daugherty and her husband, Russ; 26 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; sisters, Dally Baca and her husband David and Priscilla Ramo and her husband, Ray; brothers, Ted Zamora, Nazario Zamora and LeeRoy Zamora and his wife Frances.

The Rosary Service will be Saturday, May 5, at 10:00 A.M. at Santa Rita Catholic Church where the funeral mass will be at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Carrizozo.
