Roseann Tsosie

Roseann Alexander Tsosie, 92, of Ruidoso passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Ruidoso. She was born May 4, 1923 at Misenheimer, NC. She moved to Ruidoso in February, 2001 from Dallas, Texas.

She moved to Farmington from Ohio with her parents who were Methodist Missionaries. She was a Majorette in Delaware, Ohio and was instrumental with getting schools in Ohio and Farmington, NM in starting twirling programs. She started Tsoflasie Twirling in Farmington, NM.

She is survived by 3 sons, Fred Tsosie, J. Douglas Tsosie and his wife, Earlene and Thomas Tsosie and his partner Eric Hale; a sister, Virginia L. Martin; 3 granddaughters, Jennifer Joy Tsosie, Amber Christine Schelling and Kerianne Tsosie Oliver and her husband Guy; 4 great grandchildren, Shay Oliver, Samuel Oliver, Ashton Tsosie and Rachelle Tsosie; niece, Terry Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Tsosie and grandson, Josh Tsosie; brother-in-law, Andy Tsosie and sister-in-law, Stella Tsosie Lee.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30, at 10:30 AM at Community United Methodist Church.

The family has requested memorials the Humane Society of Lincoln County or the Building Fund at Community United Methodist Church.
