Rosarita Smith

Rosary for Rosarita Ann Valdez Smith, 70, of Three Rivers will be Thursday, Sept. 6, at 9:00 AM in St. Joseph's Mission where the funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at the Mescalero Cemetery. Rosarita went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2007. She was born at the Elk district on the Mescalero Reservation on June 18, 1937. She lived most of her life at Three Rivers. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Marden and a son Paul A. Valdez. Survivors include a sister, Andrea Gallerito and her husband Frank; a brother, David Marden; her children, Annette House, Melba Saenz and her husband Henry, Lyle Valdez, Robert Mendez, Frankie Gonzalez, Jordan Valdez and his wife Barbara, James Valdez, Rose J. Walker and her husband Eddy, Violet B. Parks and her husband Calvin, Edith Walker and her husband Jarod, Jamie Valdez, Cecilia Valdez, Warren Veldez, and P.J. Valdez; 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
