Robert Hawkins Jr., affectionately known to many as "Hawk," passed away on June 9, 2026. Born on February 17, 1960, Hawk lived a life marked by honesty, generosity, and a distinctive, outspoken spirit that endeared him to those who knew him well.

A master tech mechanic by profession, Hawk was recognized not only for his exceptional skill and expertise but for his integrity and commitment to excellence. His work was a reflection of the same straightforwardness and toughness that characterized his personality. Hawk was never one to mince words; his honesty was refreshing, and those around him never had to wonder what he was truly thinking. Yet beneath his tough exterior was a man who gave generously of his time and energy, always ready to go out of his way to help others.

Among Hawk’s greatest joys were his passions for old muscle cars and motorcycles, which energized and inspired him. He had a particular fondness for the colors orange and black—an expression of his vibrant and bold nature. Hawk had a deep respect and love for art, spending countless hours drawing. Equally important in his life was his love for his animals, whose companionship brought him great comfort and happiness.

Hawk's proudest accomplishment was marrying the love of his life, Kathleen, in 1995. Their union was a testament to a deep and abiding partnership that enriched both their lives beyond measure.

Known as a straightforward and formidable presence, Hawk did not tolerate nonsense from anyone, yet his generosity and candid ways built enduring friendships and family bonds. His legacy is one of love, integrity, and unwavering support, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the fortune of crossing his path.

Hawk is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen "Kat" Hawkins; mother, Terrell Zatkowski; brother, Todd Hawkins; and daughter in love, Callie Archibeque. 

Pallbearers are Sam Samaniego, Joey Rue, Jacob Samaniego, C.J. Lueras, Mason Jenkins, and Mario. 

Robert Hawkins Jr. will be remembered with profound respect and affection by those who knew him best. His voice, his spirit, and his kindness will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain a guiding light for those he leaves behind.
