Richard Cannon

Richard S. Cannon, 83, of Ruidoso passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at his home. He was born October 1, 1931 at Spruce Pine, North Carolina. He moved to Ruidoso 8 years ago from Hobbs, NM. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He loved to fish, was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his son, Colin Samuel Cannon of Ruidoso; a daughter, Allison Cannon Blackman of Vienna, VA; a brother, Peter Cannon of San Francisco, CA and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Allene Cannon and a son, Kevin Cannon.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 17, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso. Graveside service will be Monday, May 18, at 2:00 PM at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Hobbs, NM. Officiating will be Darren Skinner of the First United Methodist Church.
