Raymond Carl Najar, 41, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, August 27,2015 with his family by his side in Albuquerque, NM. Raymond was born on June 9,1974 in Alamogordo, NM to Albert and Mary Najar.
Raymond "Pilfer" Najar was raised in Carrizozo, NM. He graduated from Carrizozo High School in 1993. After graduation he entered the United States Marines and served his country for four years. Raymond was awarded multiple medals and received many honors as a Marine. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him. He returned to Carrizozo where he worked for the BLM, Forest Service and State Highway Department, Raymond enjoyed hunting, cooking and above all spending time with his family.
Raymond is survived by his companion, Rachel Monreal; her daughter Lena Reyes and grandson Ayden; his parents Albert and Mary Najar; his sister Amanda Saenz and her husband Jose Saenz; his nieces Raelin and Gabriela Saenz; his brothers Daniel Romero and Andrew Romero; his aunts, uncles and cousins. Raymond is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Refugio and Oralia Najar, Sr. and his maternal grandmother, Betty Sedillo and great grandmother, Adela Sedillo.
Raymond was loved by many and will certainly be missed.
The rosary will be Friday, September 4, at 6:30 PM at Santa Rita's Catholic Church in Carrizozo with the funeral mass on Saturday, September 5, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery.
