Ramona Polaco

Ramona Salcido Polaco was born on February 28, 1937 to Pedro and Feliz Salcido in Hondo, NM She passed away on June 24, 2015 in Roswell, NM. Ramona lived in the Hondo Valley all of her life. She married Trancito Polaco Jr., they were married for 56 yrs. Together they raised 8 children Evelyn Polaco Miranda, Gabriel Polaco, Lucas Polaco, Ruben Polaco, Bernard Polaco, Raul Polaco, Eli Polaco, and Isaac Polaco. She has 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Trancito and two children Evelyn and Gabriel.

Ramona loved life and lived to the fullest. She was a beautiful warm hearted caring woman. Always teaching her family about the importance of faith and prayer, she cared for everyone and in return was loved by many. Always with a smile on her face and never speaking badly of anyone, Ramona could light up a room with just her presence and personality.

She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

The Rosary will be held Sunday June 28, at 7:00 P.M. with the funeral mass Monday June 29, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Jude Catholic Church at San Patricio, burial will follow at the Hondo Cemetery.
