Rae Sedillo Webb, 98, our beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on February 27, 2026. She was born on January 6, 1928, in Reventon, New Mexico, and was the cherished daughter of Ignacio and Adela Sedillo.
Rae's early years in Reventon were shaped by frontier life and hard work. Her family farmed beans that they sold in White Oaks, New Mexico. From a young age, Rae learned grit and resilience, braving bitter winters and long summer days under the sun.
The family moved to White Oaks and eventually settled in Carrizozo, New Mexico where they would plant their roots. Determined and hardworking, Rae took jobs in local restaurants and bars, doing whatever she could to help the family get by. In 1950, she welcomed her one and only daughter, Linda, who was the light of her life. She was determined to provide more for her family so in 1958 she moved to Albuquerque for a better opportunity.
Rae was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ignacio and Adela Sedillo; her brothers, Pete Sedillo and Eulogio Otero; and her sisters, Betty Canup and Carmen Sedillo.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Archuleta; her grandchildren, Ernest D. Archuleta Jr., Rene Archuleta, Valerie and Joshua Godby, Anthony and Krista Archuleta, and Rachel Archuleta; her great-grandchildren, Johnny Beltran Jr. and fiancé Antoinette Jansen, Taylor Archuleta, and Anthony Romero; her great-great-grandchildren, Jayden Beltran, Alexus Beltran, Keira Beltran, Johnny Beltran III, and Tissaia Archuleta; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to Santa Rita Catholic Church in Carrizozo, NM for a rosary service at 10:30 am and a funeral service at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 21, 2026. A burial service will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will include Ernest D. Archuleta Jr., Anthony Archuleta, Johnny Beltran Jr., Anthony Romero, Joshua Godby and Andrew Romero.
