Phillip Coyote Jr., 58, of Mescalero passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Mescalero. He was born August 20, 1957 at Cortez, Colorado. He moved to Mescalero in 1972 from Towaoc, Colorado. He was an artist and had worked at McGary Studios.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Winona Chimal and her husband Roderick, Laura Coyote, Teresa Coyote Acosta, Christopher Coyote, Shawn Pena and his wife Sandy, Rodney Pena and his wife Justina and Matt Pena.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Mission.
