Paul Leonard Whipple, a man whose adventurous spirit and love of the great outdoors defined his life, passed away on March 22, 2026. Born on April 6, 1973, Paul embraced every day with a vigor that inspired those fortunate enough to know him.
He was a proud veteran of the US Navy, dedicating part of his life to serving his country with honor and courage. Those years of disciplined service only deepened his appreciation for the freedom to explore and the beauty of the natural world. His spirit was one of endless exploration—whether sailing on open waters or hiking through rugged landscapes, Paul found solace and joy in the embrace of nature.
Paul’s passions extended beyond the outdoors; he loved music deeply, finding in it a reflection of life’s rhythms and emotions. His laughter and warmth drew friends and family close, for he cherished these relationships above all. To Paul, family and friends were the anchor in his adventurous life, and he nurtured these bonds with unwavering love and devotion.
In his own words, Paul often said, "Don't forget about me, Adios," a simple yet poignant farewell that captures the essence of his gentle, free-spirited nature. His faith was a quiet guide throughout his journey, beautifully expressed in Psalm 139:9: “If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.” These words reflect the depth of his inner strength and the enduring presence he felt beside him—a presence now rest assured to cradle his soul.
He is remembered by all who loved him as a man who lived fully, loved passionately, and embraced life’s adventures with open arms and a brave heart. Though Paul has departed from this world, his spirit will forever sail on the winds of memory, carried by the affection of those whose lives he touched.
Paul is survived by his mother, Jeannie Whipple; son, Kenneth Gage Whipple; daughters, Chloe Nicole Whipple, and Havenleigh Whipple; grandson, Caysen Whipple (son of Chloe); sister, Wylla Jo Whipple; uncle, Herbert Leonard and family; close friend, Dan Ehmke; nieces, Ersa Sol Breanna LeSage and family, and MiKayla Jean Mitchell; best friends/brothers, Dannon and Jodi Sime, Clint Tate and family, and Micah Whitlock and family; family friends, Harry and Nita Noble; and many other beloved friends and family. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Whipple.
Rest in peace, Paul Leonard Whipple. Your journey may have ended, but your story will remain a beacon for all who knew you. Adios, dear friend. You will never be forgotten.
