Patsy Chavez

Patsy Chavez, 74, of Capitan passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Las Cruces, NM. She was born July 9, 1944 at Capitan, NM to Sosteno and Eloisa Padilla who both preceded her in death. She married Gilbert Chavez on May 8, 1965 in Capitan and they lived there until 1967. From 1967 until 2000 they lived from the Mid-West to the West Coast. In 2000 she moved back to Capitan with her husband Gilbert. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by Gilbert Chavez; two brothers, Eugene Padilla and his wife Anna and Larry Padilla and his wife Alice; also many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rosa Montoya and Adelina Padilla and a brother, Nick Padilla.

Her rosary service will be Saturday, October 27, at 10:00 A.M. with the funeral mass to follow at 10:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Capitan.
