Owen Houston

Owen Houston, 78, of Ruidoso Downs passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in Ruidoso. He was born September 19, 1940 in Honey Grove, TX. He moved to Ruidoso Downs in 2000 from Lubbock, TX.

He graduated from Friona High School then attended West Texas State University graduated in 1964. He was a school teacher, real estate broker and had many adventures as a business man. He enjoyed meeting and serving others, being a mentor to wayward boys. He adored his wife and loved to travel. He married Linda Gaye Gee on August 30, 1959 at Friona, TX.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda; a son, Jay Houston and his wife, Jolene; a daughter, LTC(R)Robin Houston and her husband Curt; two brothers, Jack Houston and H.G. Houston; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

His memorial service will be Saturday, September 29, at 10:00 A.M. in the J Bar J Country Church in Ruidoso.
