Nick Serna

Nick Serna, 73, of Carrizozo passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 in Alamogordo, NM. He was born April 10, 1944 in Carrizozo, he graduated from Carrizozo High School in 1962 and then he attended New Mexico State University. He served as Postmaster of the Carrizozo Post Office for 33 years.

He is survived by four sons, Alex Serna and his wife Debbie, Anthony Serna and his wife Fabienne, Rodney Serna and his wife Veronica and Ronald Serna and his wife Leslie; two step-sons, Cory and Craig Collins; two brothers, Fred and George Serna; two sisters, Patsy Serna and Martha Guevara; 8 grandchildren, Jonathan, Breanna, Bianca, Bethany, Bryson, Sarah, Remy and Abigail. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adelina and Alex Serna; two brothers, Albert and Benerito Serna.

His funeral service will be Tuesday, October 31, at 10:00 A.M. at Santa Rita Catholic Church in Carrizozo with burial at the Evergreen Cemetery.
