Neva Ventura

Visitation for Neva Rae Ventura, 87, of Carrizozo will be Tuesday, December 30, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 31, at 10:00 A.M. in the Armstrong Tabernacle located at the Bonita Campground, burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Carrizozo.

Mrs. Ventura passed away Wednesday, December 24, at her home. She was born September 8, 1927 at Brownfield, Texas and her family moved to the Bingham area in 1930, they moved to Lincoln in 1935 and stayed in Lincoln County also living in Capitan and Carrizozo, she was a retired legal secretary. She attended the Angus Church of the Nazarene.

She married Joe S. Ventura on September 3, 1955 in Carrizozo and he preceded her in death on August 4, 2005.

She is survived by five sons, Joseph Ventura Jr. and his wife Laurie of Palm Bay, Florida, Bobby Ventura and his wife, Sherrie of Perryton, Texas, Pat Ventura of Carrizozo, Chris Ventura and his wife Jenny of Carrizozo and John Paul Ventura and his wife Deborah of Carrizozo brothers and sisters, J.D. Garrison, Wanda Johnson, Kenneth Garrison and Dorothy Shoemaker, 20 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
