Nancy Villemuer-Smith

Nancy J. Villemuer-Smith passed away peacefully on March 3, 2015, after a brief illness. Nancy led a full life as a nurse, working in several different places, including the Department of Corrections. She lived in Texas and Nevada before moving to New Mexico. After retiring, she helped many of us around town, filling in whenever and wherever she was needed. Most of us remember Nancy for her knack in bringing people from all walks of life together.

Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Phillup Dale Villemuer, and by two husbands, Phillup Villemuer and "Smitty" Smith. She is remembered by her daughter, Lisa Putz-Smith, her grandson, Matthew Hendrick, Rick Hendrick, Karla McDonald, Kathy and Lynn Tanner and their family, and Adam and Robin Rafkin and their family, and countless friends she has made throughout the years.

A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society.
