On June 6, 2026 Mona Joy Lopez, 88, of Mescalero, NM, fell asleep and is safely treasured in the memory of her loving God, Jehovah. She was born September 15, 1937 to Luke Carrillo and and Catherine Kenoi, in Mescalero. Although Mona had no biological children, she helped in rearing many and was valued by them all as their mother. 

Mona was baptized April 24, 1982, as one of Jehovah's Witness. She was devoted to and loved Jehovah God wholeheartedly. Her relationship with Him was of utmost importance, and she found great joy in helping others learn about the Bible's hope. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, and sisters. 

A memorial will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Tularosa. The address is 1515 Fairview, Tularosa, New Mexico.
