Melva Jaycox, 71, of Alto passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born July 24, 1943 at Clovis, New Mexico to Winnie and Carl Briggs. She moved to Lincoln County in June, 2002 from Alamogordo.
She had an unwavering faith in the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, very family oriented and was unselfish.
She married Everett Jaycox on July 26, 1963 at Hobbs, New Mexico. She is survived by her husband, Everett; two sons, Devon Jaycox of The Woodlands, TX and Kenan Jaycox of Tijeras, NM; two grandchildren, Karina Jaycox and Michael Jaycox; two sisters, Nelva Williams of Hobbs and Carlene Briggs of Cloudcroft.
Memorial service will be Sunday, March 15, at2:00 PM in the Church of the Nazarene at Angus.
The family has requested memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society for "Relay for Life" at donate.cancer.org.
