The family of Mary Ellen Salyer of Ruidoso, N.M. is saddened to announce her unexpected passing on June 28th at the age of 70.
Mary was a mother to Lindsey Patton, husband Ryan, a grandmother to Rylin and Ryder Patton, a sister to Ann Early Decker and Joan Quirici, husband Bob.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Cricket Salyer and her brother Stephen Early.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law Jeanette Isserman and nieces Susan Mullins, husband Dave and Stephanie Martin, husband Shawn.
Mary lived a very rewarding and adventurous life. Her many adventures included sky diving, traveling within the United States and touring many foreign countries including Mexico, Spain, Australia, France and Portugal. She also enjoyed setting sail on many cruises. She spent many summers enjoying her time at Elephant Butte Lake where she often cruised the lake enjoying various activities especially water skiing. One of her favorite past times was walking the path along the Links with her dog Lulu and playing a round of golf with friends.
Mary's education led her to a degree in Business Administration. This degree led Mary to be a successful CPA owning her own practice and serving clients in Ruidoso for many years.
A Celebration of Life will be held On Thursday, July 10th at Enchanted Vine by Noisy Water Winery from 1 to 4 PM.
