Martha Cornelius

Martha Cornelius, 94, of Ruidoso passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at her home. She was born June 3, 1920 at Stamford, Texas to Ruth and Nib Shaw. She moved to Ruidoso in 1989 from Santa Fe and was a retired Dietician for I.H.S. in Santa Fe and that job allowed her to travel to many places. She attended the Community United Methodist Church.

She married Eddie Cornelius on July 14, 1948 at Abilene, Texas and he preceded her in death on March 22, 2005. She is survived by three sons, John Cornelius, Bill Corneliusand his wife Linda, Michael Cornelius and his long time partner, Ed Scott Morrison a brother, John Shaw and 5 grandchildren, Eric, Daniel, Michael, Kiana, and Alia.

Her funeral service will be Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Community United Methodist Church in Ruidoso with burial to follow at Ft. Stanton Cemetery.

The family has requested memorials to the Lincoln County Food Bank.
