Marcos Concepion Sosa Rios, of Tinnie, New Mexico passed away on Saturday, February 14th of 2026.
Celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 28th 2026 at 10am-1pm, at Sosa Residence: Hwy 70 & MKT RD 289, Tinnie, New Mexico 88351.
Marcos was born on December 8th 1947 in San Carlos Coahuila, Mexico to the late Maria Sosa Vasquez (Mother) and Jose Sosa Vasquez (Father).
He was known around The Valley and beyond primarily for his burritos, tamales, and prize-winning Roosters. He always took an interest in the people that he met and his happy demeanor made him a wonderful person to know. He was patient and generous with his time and affection. No one was a stranger when he was around. He was unselfish to a fault and far more keen to put others in front of himself. His positive nature was contagious and no one was ever going hungry when he cooked.
He is survived by his daughter Imelda Black and her Husband Dwayne Black (Vancouver, WA) and his granddaughters Shantel Black (Vancouver, WA) and Daria Brucia and her husband Charles Brucia (Long Island, New York).
He taught us the values of hard-work, integrity, and compassion for all living things, leading by example for everything he did. His spirit lives on in the lessons he taught us and the love he shared.
Vaya Con Dios.
