From a young age, he exhibited an astounding intellect, rebuilding his first motorcycle at the age of 6, he countuied his love of tinkering and mechanics throughout his life. At the age of 21 he met Carolyn, or Carrie as he affectionately called her, and they were married in January of 1955 in Miami Florida and soon packed up everything they owned including an ironing board and a parakeet and moved to California and worked for Volmer Jensen where he worked in research and development making prototype models for private and government projects, but that wasn't what he truly wanted to be doing, he decided to quit his job and beat the door down at Disney for 2 weeks, on the last day he went in he asked to see one of the machinist, and the secretary asked him "why didn't you tell me you knew him", Marc said "I wanted to get the job myself" so he went back to visit his friend and walked out with a job, his first big project was working on the president Lincoln for the New York world fair, he went on to work designing and developing the autoanimatronic robots in the rides at Disneyland in California, Florida and Tokyo. He worked for Disney for a total of 31 years. After being foster parents for several years, in 1963 Marc and Carrie decided to adopt and over the next 3 years adopted Martyn and Karyn. In 1971 they moved to Colorado and lived in the rocky mountains until they moved back to California because Disney needed him to go work on Tokyo Disneyland and back to EPCOT center. He retired to Capitan, New Mexico in 1992 where he happily lived out the rest of his years. He leaves behind his wife Carolyn, his son Martyn, his daughter Karyn, his son in law Jon. His grandchildren Deanna her husband Scott, Jeremy and his wife Karissa, Melissa and her husband Lyle, and his great grandchildren Blake, Braden, Breanna, Braxton, Isaiah, Violet, Airabelle, and Lyle Jr. We remember him as the example, in how to treat others, and how to love and be loved. He was an amazing Christian man leading so many to God, showing us all how to be godly and compassionate, patient and to above all put God first and the rest will follow.
