Malin "Arthur John" Yahnahki, 47, of Mescalero was born March 20, 1969 at Mescalero and passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at his home. Malin was a loving son, brother, father, uncle and grandfather. He worked many years with Jensen's Logging as a logger and with Mescalero BIA Forestry on the Hot Shot Crew. He had many hobbies which included being a boxer and earned his golden gloves, a bull rider, sking, playing football, basketball, golfing and enjoyed hiking and looking for antlers. Malin lived his life to the fullest and always had a smile.
Malin is survived by his two sons, Clay Geronimo and Malin Yahnahki Jr., his parents, Anita Yahnahki and Joseph Geronimo; his brothers, Thomas Yahnahki, Arvin Yahnahki, Rudy Enjady and Chucky Naiche; his sisters, Arethea Yahnahki, Tania Tache, Samantha Hubbard and Charlotte Geronimo; a nephew, Andrew Yahnahki and several grandchildren, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held at the family residence at 9 Peso Court, on Sunday, March 27, at 6:30 P.M. with the funeral service on Monday, March 28, at 10:00 A.M. at the Mescalero Reformed Church. Burial will follow at the Wilson Family Cemetery.
