Loland Melvin Jensen passed away on 1 November 2014, in Ruidoso New Mexico. He was born 14 September 1941 in Salmon, Idaho to Hans Alvor and Lola Ostler Jensen.
Loland spent most of his life as a logger and heavy equipment operator in the Western States. For several years he lived in logging camps and worked in Alaska. Loland loved the outdoors. He liked to hunt and fish and had several hobbies related to those passions. He was a good marksman winning many turkey shoots with his handloaded ammo. He enjoyed fly tying, he could be found collecting feathers and fur and then using them in this hobby. He also enjoyed gold mining. Lolands enthusiasm for these sports and hobbies have been passed on to his children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
He was proceed in death by his parents, Al and Lola sisters, Florence Alder and Lois Gold and brother, Eugene Jensen Eva.
He is survived by three children Melvin Edward Jensen Lacie of Ruidoso Lanor Lee Jensen of Salmon, Idaho Connie Sue Blythe of Kooskie, Idaho brother, Leonard Ostler Jensen Marilyn of Chama, New Mexico 7 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday, November 6th at 10:00 A.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints, 1091 Mechem Drive in Ruidoso.
