A memorial service for Larry Dale Washington, 60, of Ruidoso will be Wednesday, July 16, at 1:00 PM in the Ruidoso Downs Race Track Chapel. Mr. Washington passed away Saturday, July 12, in Ruidoso. He was born June 24, 1948 at Portales, New Mexico. He moved to Ruidoso 25 years ago from Dallas and was a former horse trainer at Ruidoso Downs Race Track and loved basketball. He is survived by his mother, Billie Gregg and her husband William B. Gregg of Portales; brother, John Washington of McKinney, Texas; three sisters, Susan Fails of Clovis, New Mexico, Lynne Wall of Portales, New Mexico and Beth Washington of Memphis, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Washington.
