L Y Jackson, born 15th of 16 children on September 16, 1919 in Stratford, OK to Walter Neely Jackson and Samantha Lee Phillips Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, 14 siblings, wife of 59 years, Sara Silvers Jackson and grandson, G.W. Posey. He left this earth on September 28, 2014 at the age of 95.

L Y served in World War II in Rhineland Central Europe, receiving the American Theater Campaign Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon, 2 overseas service bars and lapel button.

L Y is survived by his sister, Mahonita Jo Horger his daughters, Sharon L. Krzemien and DeeAnn Posey son, Leland Jackson 3 grandchildren, Judy DeHaro, Charlotte Krzemien and Tyke Posey 8 great grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas and Lindsey DeHaro, Julia Krzemien, Kellyn and Kendra Posey, Micah and Cali Posey and 4 great great grandchildren. A special niece, Jerrilyn Jackson Russell plus numerous other nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers, Ronnie Russell, Tyke Posey, Gray Gallacher, Paul Baca, Lyndon Keel, Reymaldo Avila. Honorary Pallbearers, Eric Lynch, Mike Petty, Stanley Jackson, Bruce Jackson, Bill Hightower, Gary Hightower, Glenn Brumlow, Larry Russell, H V Jackson, Thomas Lunsford, Carvel Gay, Jay Keel Jr. , Tim Horger, Carl Horger.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the Ancho Cemetery, Ancho, NM. Pastor Terry Aiello of Grace Fellowship in Corona, NM will be officiating.

The family has requested memorials to the G.W. Posey Memorial in care of Josh Payne, 111 N. Orchard Ave, Farmington, NM 87401 or to your favorite charity.
