Kristen Marie Gibson

Kristen Marie Gibson, beloved daughter, sister, and friend was called home on April 6, 2024. She was born in Modesto, CA on March 1, 1996. Kristen will always be remembered for her great attitude, loving nature, and unwavering faith in Jesus.

Kristen's journey of life was marked by remarkable moments that showcased her strength and resilience. She graduated from Oakdale High School in 2014, where she formed lifelong friendships and left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Kristen's personality was a beacon of light - she always had a warm smile on her face, effortlessly making friends wherever she went. Her determination and fighting spirit were truly inspiring to all who crossed her path.

After moving to Hondo, New Mexico in March of 2021, she was diagnosed with cancer in May of the same year. Despite the challenges that came with this diagnosis, Kristen never wavered in her resolve to fight with all her might. Her bravery and perseverance touched the hearts of many and serve as a testament to her unwavering spirit.

In honoring Kristen's life, let us remember her for the joy she brought into the world, the love she shared so generously, and the courage she displayed in the face of adversity. May her soul rest in peace knowing that she has left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. This is not goodbye, it is until I see you again.

Kristen is survived by her parents, Stephen Gibson, and Jared and Erin Aguilar; brother, Stephen Gibson; sisters, Mackenna Gibson, Madison Gibson, and Samantha Gibson; grandparents, Steve and Sharon Gibson, and Steve and Diane Mellor; Aunts and Uncles, Craig and Stephanie Robinson, Tami Gibson, Zack and Juli Gentry, Justin and Liana Larson; many much loved cousins; and her beloved dogs, Poppy Lee and Buttercup. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 11:00 am at Gateway Church in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
